1989 solo debut album from former Frankie Goes To Hollywood vocalist Holly Johnson. Following FGTH's split in 1986, Holly spent the next few years in a court battle against ZTT Records before finally gaining artistic freedom and recording this debut album. Though FGTH had fallen from grace with their last release, Blast was an enormous success for Holly, spawning the hit singles 'Love Train', 'Americanos' and 'Atomic City'. Not entirely different from FGTH, Blast offers the listener a new and improved Holly Johnson.
